During the 2024 Tyskie Entrepreneurship Leader gala, companies, institutions and entrepreneurs were awarded for their contribution to the promotion and economic development of Silesia. The laureates collaborate with foreign partners, implement innovations, and conduct their activities guided by policies of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.
The “Business Hermes” award in the Ambassador of Silesia category was presented by the Mayor of Tychy, Maciej Gramatyka, and the District Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tychy.
Kompania Piwowarska is a leader of the brewing industry in Poland, operating three breweries, including the Tyskie Browary Książęce. This is one of the oldest breweries in Poland, a gem of Silesian architecture, where beer has been brewed continuously since 1629, for almost four centuries. The facility has held special significance for the local community for centuries, providing numerous jobs, often to entire generations and families.
– This special distinction is very valuable to us. We are closely connected to Silesia, as that is where our oldest facility, Tyskie Browary Książęce, has its roots, combining history with modernity. We are proud to support the local community in many ways and call ourselves the Ambassador of Silesia – commented Iwona Jacaszek-Pruś, Corporate Affairs Director at Kompania Piwowarska.
Kompania Piwowarska supports many local events and initiatives through its collaboration with the Municipal Cultural Center in Tychy. The company also serves as the patron of Silesian sports by sponsoring the GKS Tychy football club.
The District Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tychy has been an economic self-government body for over 25 years, supporting and integrating both local and regional entrepreneurs operating in Silesia. It brings together around 200 companies, employing over 6,000 people in total. The Chamber mostly comprises small and medium-sized businesses, primarily from the construction, automotive services and industrial sectors, but also includes large companies and municipal institutions.
