We take action for environmental protection
Our goal is to secure high-quality water resources for both our breweries and the communities in which we operate.
Water is one of the most important ingredients needed for brewing beer. Due to climate change, water scarcity is becoming an issue even in regions where it was never a concern before. Our goal is to secure high-quality water resources for both our breweries and the communities in which we operate.
We have made significant progress in reducing our water consumption.
Over the last decade, we have decreased water usage to the lowest levels in the industry, both in Europe and globally. Still, we are far from being finished.
Learn moreBy 2030, we plan to achieve an average water usage of 2.75 litres per litre of beer brewed in Europe.
At the same time, we are committed to using less than 3 litres of water to brew one litre of beer in each of our European breweries.
Learn moreWe will focus on operational efficiency and invest in new technologies
that will minimize water usage, while maintaining the highest product quality and hygiene standards. We will also get involved in initiatives to protect water resources, implemented within the communities we operate in and across the Asahi Group supply chain, of which Kompania Piwowarska is a part.
