Pilsner Urquell straight from a tank already in Bar Koszyki. Official inauguration behind us!

On October 10, Bark Koszyki joined the group of Pilsner Urquell Tankovnas. It coincided with the 178th anniversary of the brand, providing double cause for celebration. From now on, Bar Koszyki is another place in the capital city where one can drink the original pilsner at its best: fresh, unpasteurized, straight form the brewery in Pilsen. 

Bar Koszyki, located in Hala Koszyki at 63 Koszykowa Street, has been equipped with two tanks with the total capacity of 1,000 litres, from which fresh, unpasteurized beer is poured straight into glass mugs. After opening, such a tank has to be emptied within 7 days, therefore guaranteeing that Pilsner Urquell served in this place is always as fresh as possible.

The official inauguration was honoured with the presence of invited experts – beer expert Damian Radomski (piwoznawcy.pl) shared his knowledge on the sensory qualities of beer, and encauraged the guests to take part in a group workshop, where they could discover the charcateristic flavours and aromas of the Czech lager. Pilsner Urquell Tapster Jacek Maliszewski presented unique ways of serving the original pilsner. With his help, the guest were able to get familiar with the three classic Czech ways of pouring Pilsner Urquell (Hladinka, Šnyt and Milko). The event elaso encompassed interesting contests with brand gadgets. The celebrations in the new Tankovna culminated in a traditional tap christening.

Thanks to the fact that during transportation to every Tankovna Pilsner Urquell is constantly cooled and kept in airtight containers, the beer tastes exactly the same as in the Czech brewery right after it has been brewed. The Czech Republic has always been famous for exceptional quality, taste and aroma of beer. As the place of origin of Pilsner Urquell, a shining example of the best beer, Plisen is one of the cities with the richest brewing tradition and history.
