New restaurant with Czech atmosphere. The first Kozlovna in Warsaw is already open!
The last day of July marked the official opening of the first Kozlovna restaurant in the very heart of Warsaw. In the late afternoon, the unique place, where everyone can enjoy Kozel served in a few different ways, opened its doors to the first guests searching for a truly Czech atmosphere. The event was hosted by dancer Jan Kliment and attended by acclaimed beer expert Maciej Chołdrych.
Česká Kozlovna is a unique outlet on the gastronomic map of Warsaw. Located at 11 Piękna Street, it is the first Kozlovna in the capital, where all Poles can spend their free time celebrating drinking beer and discovering Czech beer rituals. The restaurant also serves typical dishes form the cuisine of our neighbours as well as their favourite lager delivered in many different ways. Moreover, the venue offers Kozel Ležák, which is a pale lager, and Kozel Černy – light dark beer brewed with roasted malt. The visitors can have a taste of it in a version with cinnamon and honey or as the Řezané beer, which combines light and dark lagers.
The official opening of the new Kozlovna was attended by people, who know exactly how to bring the Czech atmosphere to Warsaw. The event was hosted by well-known Czech dancer Jan Kliment, who made sure everyone had a lot of fun and left with joyful memories from the evening, by encouraging the residents of Warsaw to take part in a Czech quiz with prizes, among other things. Getting the guests familiar with the culture of our southern neighbours was the job of beer expert Maciej Chołdrych, who explored the topic of sensory qualities of beer and revealed how to full enjoy its taste. There is no doubt that bringing out the real taste of Kozel just by pouring it is a form of art – as confirmed by the tapsters working in the venue, whose daily job is to perfectly serve the Czech beer. The essence of the task was discussed by tapster Sławomir Fridel, Kozel brand ambassador, who also taught the guests of Česka Kozlovna how to do it right. The climax of the evening was tap christening. The bar staff, together with the representatives of Kompania Piwowarska, outlet owners and guests, poured the Kozel beer on it in a celebratory manner, in order to honour the tradition.
Česká Kozlovna is open from 12:00 pm until 10 pm, from Monday to Thursday and on Sunday. On weekends, the opening hours are extended – from 12:00 pm until 12:00 am.
