    Kompania Piwowarska with the Responsible Business Industry Leader title

    In this year’s 15th edition of the Ranking of Responsible Companies, Kompania Piwowarska received the Responsible Business Industry Leader title, taking second place in the Consumer Goods category. The leader of the beer industry in Poland was eighth in the overall ranking and third in the 15th anniversary summary of the Ranking. 

    On June 18, during an online gala, the laureates of the Ranking of Responsible Companies were announced. This year, RRC featured nearly 80 companies, while twice as many were interested in participation. Ultimately, 70 companies were qualified to the main ranking.

    The Ranking of Responsible Companies is the only ranking of companies operating in Poland developed based on the quality of their corporate social responsibility management, including implementation of instruments necessary to improve enforced policies, structures and processes in order to facilitate tackling sustainability challenges. Organized by Koźmiński Business Hub, the ranking enables meticulous and trustworthy evaluation of companies’ advancement in execution of sustainability practices. It is developed based on the results presented by the companies in surveys, which are then verified in accordance with the patented methodology.

    The participants of the Ranking of Responsible Companies fill out the above-mentioned survey with due diligence, following the principles of professional ethics. Every year, the survey is modified to include global trends and changes taking place on the Polish market.

    This year, the 50 questions included in the survey were divided into three parts: strategic level, operational level, and selected results. The respondents provide answers regarding the activities carried out on the Polish market in 2020 or their progress as of the end of 2020. As the contents partner of the project, Deloitte is responsible for reviewing the participants’ answers.

Globally, we are facing problems due to which social responsibility and sustainable development have gained particular significance. We are especially glad to be ranked third among the best companies from the last 15 years, because it proves we are consistent in pursuing our activities, while respecting all of our stakeholders, local communities and the environment. For our company, these are crucial values that constitute an integral part of our business strategy – commented Iwona Jacaszek-Pruś, Corporate Affairs Director at Kompania Piwowarska.

    An important goal, which RRC has been executing for 15 years, is to provide companies with tools that allow them to regularly compare the quality of their social responsibility management systems with other major companies operating in Poland.
