Kompania Piwowarska wins the Trusted Employer title
Kompania Piwowarska has been honored with its very first “Trusted Employer” title in the 'Health' category in the 13th edition of the Trusted Employer competition. The jury recognized the beer market leader’s implementation of employee programs, specifically directed towards health and preventive care.
The competition jury recognized Kompania Piwowarska's initiatives, as they stand out among other enterprises in Poland and encompass a wide range of employee programs such as „How Are You”, covering areas of mental and physical health, or the Bet on Move' program, encouraging sports competition. The company also offers preventive actions and access to specialists from various fields such as psychology and dietetics. It supports initiatives promoting diversity, nutrition, activity, and emotional management.
– This award is special to us because it has a human dimension –every company is made up of people, so we cannot imagine not caring about their well-being. We make sure that our employees feel supported by us in every aspect of their lives while being able to develop and fulfil their ambitions. We are aware that there are moments in everyone's life when it is particularly challenging to balance professional struggles with personal life – said Agnieszka Żmuda-Kleśta, Talent Management Director at Kompania Piwowarska, when accepting the distinction.
Additionally, Kompania Piwowarska’s employees receive numerous non-wage benefits entirely covered by the company. These include, among others, extended paternity leave, additional days for parents who have lost a child due to miscarriage, extra days off for fertility treatments, or in case of a family member's death. These and other initiatives help maintain a work-life balance and take good care of physical and mental health. All employees also have the possibility of joining Medicover and choosing medical packages for themselves, their families, and loved ones.
– We know that rest, physical activity, and engaging in culture are essential for maintaining good health and well-being. That is why we regularly top up our employees' accounts on the MyBenefit platform. Through this platform, they can pay for various things such as MultiSport cards, tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts, sporting events, etc. We also encourage employee engagement in collective sports challenges, for example, within the Bet on Move program – emphasized Agnieszka Żmuda-Kleśta.
In 2022, Kompania Piwowarska introduced several initiatives aimed at ensuring optimal mental well-being for its employees. The company conducted workshops on stress management, emotional management, and psychological resilience. About 400 employees participated in these workshops. Managers were equipped with skills to conduct conversations with employees experiencing crises or depression. A psychological helpline was also provided for individuals in difficult situations.
Kompania Piwowarska's activities contribute to the execution of the ambition outlined within the overarching purpose of the organization: Creating Meaningful Connections. It reflects the consistent pursuit of timely implementation of the company's strategy called “Better Future 2030”, which aligns business objectives with sustainability ambitions.
"Trusted Employer" is an initiative launched in 2009 by numerous non-governmental organizations, think tanks, and universities. The competition aims to reward and promote companies that implement interesting and innovative employee policy projects. It encourages good employer standards, including social engagement, volunteering projects, corporate accessibility and inclusion. The work of the jury was preceded by public opinion research aimed at determining mutual trust in the employee-employer relationship, as well as numerous educational and promotional activities.
