Kompania Piwowarska supports the Noble Gift for the seventh time

Kompania Piwowarska’s biggest corporate volunteering project – the Noble Gift, was joined this year by over 1,700 employees coordinated by 57 leaders. Thanks to their commitment, we helped 57 families, sick and lonely people who are struggling with the difficulties of life.

Over this edition, KP volunteers donated food, cleaning supplies, fuel, appliances, laptops to those in need. They also financed a driving license course to improve professional qualitfications and thus help earn living. The total worth of Christmas packages was PLN 247,000, subsidised by KP with additional PLN 170,000. Our company volunteers spent 1,520 hours shopping, packing and delivering over 880 gifts.

– We have been supporting this unique project since 2016. Although the last years have been challenging for everyone, and many of us are struggling, our employees did not forget about those in need. Once again, we wholeheartedly committed to the 23 rd edition of the Noble Gift to deliver some essentials to selected families and people over the Weekend of Miracles. Over seven editions of this initiative, our volunteers have prepared 7,000 gifts worth nearly PLN 2 million in total, thus supporting over 400 households – comments Małgorzata Walędzińska-Półtorak, Sustainable Development Program Manager at Kompania Piwowarska.

Kompania Piwowarska has been executing its corporate volunteering program – Kompania of Volunteers – for years. The volunteering community constitutes 64 percent of the company staff, who continue to financially and physically support local communities and non-governmental organizations throughout the year. Besides the Noble Gift, the company encourages its employees to stay active within the Bet on Move program, where the kilometres covered by the participating volunteers during various physical activities are exchanged into financial support for people suffering from mobility impairments – the beneficiaries of the Poland Business Run Foundation. Furthermore, the leader of the beer industry in Poland supports other initiatives and organizations the aim of which is to help people and our planet, such as the Centre for Women’s Rights, Nasza Ziemia, Dom w Łodzi, Dialog. The Noble Gift is the most recognizable Polish nation-wide social project organized by the WIOSNA Association since 2001. Its main goal is to provide material and mental help for people affected by difficult life circumstances. The initiative is based on pro bono cooperation with donors and volunteers.
