Kompania Piwowarska’s best practices awarded with POLITYKA’s SCR Leaf

Kompania Piwowarska received the CSR Silver Leaf awarded in the 10th edition of the best practice summary by the POLITYKA daily, organized in cooperation with contents partners: consultancy company Deloitte and the Responsible Business Forum. The company was recognized for its social engagement, sustainability activity, and high ethical standards in terms of its relationships with the stakeholders.

Besides POLITYKA’s SCR Silver Leaf, the company received distinctions in two additional categories: “Highest Scoring Best Practices” for renewable energy used in the breweries and “Distinction for Best Practices” for supporting the gastronomic sector during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the fourth CRS Silver Leaf for the leader of the beer industry in Poland. The company can also show off with give Golden Leaves and a Super Golden Leaf, which means that Kompania Piwowarska’s activities have been recognized from the very first edition of the best practice report by the POLITYKA weekly.

POLITYKA’s CSR Leaves are accompanied by a review of all initiatives supporting the execution of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Just like in the previous edition, this year the participating companies were asked to share their best practices related to Goal 13 aiming to reduce the negative impact on the environment. Moreover, for the first time in the history of the awards, a new category was created for initiatives related to prevention against economic and social consequences of the pandemic (SDGs 3, 8 and 10).

As described by the organizers, best practices contributing to the execution of the UN Sustainable Development Goals submitted for this year’s review confirm the importance of business in fighting the pandemic. The recognized practices were most current, brough measurable and significant results, and strengthened the snowball effect.

The 10th edition saw a record-breaking number of submissions and awarded companies, with 124 participants, i.e. 28 more than in the previous year.
POLITYKA’s CSR Leaves go to companies that declare implementation of all the key solutions of the ISO 26000 norm into their daily operations, apply the best local and global management practices, comply with international standards, enforce an ethics management system and the highest standards for staff management.
