Kompania Piwowarska as the partner of the CULTURE NATURE FUTURE event
On September 16, 2021, the Museum of King Jan III’s Palace at Wilanów will host an event titled CULTURE NATURE FUTURE, which sums up the 30 years of UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre’s activity. The partner of the event is Kompania Piwowarska.
UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre (Global Resource Information Database) has been involved in environmental protection in Poland for 30 years, by executing the United Nations Environment Programme. In the light of the current climate and environmental crisis, UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre has created a space for open discussion, inspiration and new initiatives within the area of natural environment called CULTURE NATURE FUTURE.
During the meeting, the participants will be able to talk about how the representatives of culture and business can support the protection of our planet.
– Our jubilee will be an excuse to look into the future. After 30 years of efforts aimed at supporting our planet, we want to continue to motivate and inspire others to join forces and act. Let’s change the world for the better and take care of nature – let’s begin from what we can do by joining our potentials – Maria Andrzejewska, General Director at UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre.
The main partner of the event is Kompania Piwowarska, which since 2020 has been executing the objectives of its new strategy – Better Future 2030, in which business goals are as important as the environmental and social ones. The representatives of the company were invited to take part in the CULTURE NATURE FUTURE thematic panels; Iwona Jacaszek-Pruś, Corporate Affairs Director, will join the panel on climate neutrality, and Grzegorz Adamski, Sustainable Development Manager, will participate in the panel on water savings.
– The climate and environmental crisis is taking place here and now, and its consequences will be even more severely experienced by future generations. That is why we feel responsible and obligated to act and implement changes that will ensure a better future for them. As the industry leader, we want to give a good example, share our achievements in the area of sustainability, and take part in the exchange of inspirations and experiences that can contribute to the improvement of the state of nature and quality of human life. Facing an unprecedented challenge, we have a better chance to succeed if we join forces and engage different communities – says Iwona Jacaszek-Pruś, Corporate Affairs Director at Kompania Piwowarska.
The role of business in counteracting the irreversible changes on Earth is undisputable, therefore during the event, the participating companies will place their environmental commitments to achieve by 2030 in a climate time capsule, while the key will be handed over to the children and young people present at the event.
