Four beers from Kompania Piwowarska’s portfolio have earned medals at the international Good Beer 2026 competition. Gold went to Lech Pils and Książęce Porter, silver to this year’s new release, Książęce Miodowy Lager, and bronze to Książęce Wiedeński Lager. The results are determined through expert sensory evaluation: judges are unaware of which brands they are tasting and focus solely on the qualities of the product itself.
It’s what’s in the glass that counts
Good Beer stands out for its rigorous evaluation process. Tastings are conducted by professional sensory experts under the supervision of international beer judges. Samples are served in a way that prevents brand identification, ensuring that brand recognition, packaging, and marketing activities have no influence on the final verdict. The evaluation centres strictly on the beer and its flavour.
This makes the gold medal for Lech Pils all the more impressive, as it won the Premium Pale Lager category for the second year running. Repeating last year’s success in an independent sensory assessment confirms the brand’s unwavering commitment to quality and taste profile consistency.
Książęce’s latest release gains early expert recognition
The recognition for Książęce Miodowy Lager is another reason to be proud. Having joined the brand’s portfolio only in 2026, the beer secured Good Beer silver in the Honey Beer category just a few months after its debut. The medal confirms the quality of the new variant, judged strictly on its sensory merits.
Two other beers from the Książęce family also made it onto the podium. Książęce Porter took gold in the Baltic Porter – Imperial & Specialty category, while Książęce Wiedeński Lager won bronze in the Light Dark Lager category.
Four medals, four distinct styles
Winning across four different categories highlights the impressively broad range of beer styles recognised by the jury. Behind each award-winning beer is a dedicated team of Kompania Piwowarska brewers, technologists, and experts who oversee recipe creation, brewing, and quality control.
– This year’s Good Beer results give us immense satisfaction, especially given the prestige and nature of the competition. Branding takes a back seat here, allowing experts to focus on what matters most – the beer itself. Four medals across such diverse categories are a truly special tribute to our teams’ hard work and the quality of the beers we deliver to consumers every single day – says Krzysztof Syryło, Head Brewer at Kompania Piwowarska.
A double success at the Polish Brewing Congress
This year’s Good Beer results were announced during the Polish Brewing Congress, held on September 29–30, 2026. This was not the only accolade Kompania Piwowarska took home from the event. The company was also named one of the winners in the “ECO-INVESTOR in the Food Industry” competition for its project “Towards Renewable Energy – Heat Pumps at Kompania Piwowarska Breweries.” The award recognises eco-friendly initiatives and investments focused on reducing emissions, protecting the environment, and boosting energy efficiency.
