    This year marks important changes for the Książęce brand: a new communication platform, another variant in the offer, and more recently expansion of the packaging assortment. In July, three most popular specialities – Złote Pszeniczne, Czerwony Lager and IPA – were launched in half a litre cans.  

    For years, the world of craft beers and specialities has been dominated by bottles – traditional packaging that many people consider the only appropriate one for beer. However, these market segments continue to undergo changes and follow contemporary trends in terms of packaging, and thus use cans more and more often. The group of specialities offered in this kind of packaging was recently joined by Książęce. Starting from July, the three best-selling variants of the brand: Złote Pszeniczne, Czerwony Lager and IPA, are available in cans.

    – Thanks to cans, selected variants of Książęce get a chance to become even more popular. Our IPA, Złote Pszeniczne and Czerwony Lager can now keep consumers company during
    completely different occasions. Specialities are perfect for having a meal, while enjoying them in a gastronomic outlet, and we definitely recommend these ways of consumption. Now, they can be chosen also in other situations, more casual and non-formal ones – says Maciej Morzywołek, responsible for the Książęce brand.

    The fans of Książęce will appreciate the possibility of cooling the beer down even faster, and the convenience – a can is light, easy to transport and takes up less space than a bottle. The
    new packaging is also a beneficial option for points of sales, as Złote Pszeniczne, Czerwony Lager and IPA can be introduced in places where there are no conditions to offer them in
    returnable bottles. It can translate into a bigger shopping basket, because beer lovers tend to choose 4-packs. The numbers indicate that the share of cans in the market consistently increases. Currently, already every second beer in Poland is sold in this packaging.

    – Aluminium cans constitute eco-friendly packaging, are perfect for recycling, and new packaging can basically be made completely from recyclate. Already today, nearly 50% of the cans used by the producer of the Książęce beer is manufactured from recycled aluminium. Moreover, the myth that beer from a can tastes different than from a bottle has been debunked long time ago – explains Maciej Morzywołek. – This type of packaging responds to the modern needs and lifestyle, so the enthusiasts of beer specialities choose cans willingly. We hope that Książęce by Kompania Piwowarska in this version will be well-received by consumers – he sums up.
