Kompania Piwowarska awarded for its CSR strategy and corporate volunteering

On December 14, the Poznań-based Volunteers of the Year were determined. The goal of the initiative is to promote volunteering and award people and organizations involved in voluntary work for the city of Poznań and its residents. This year marked the 18th edition of the competition.
The awards and distinctions in five categories – teenagers (up to 19 years of age), individuals, 50+, teamwork and corporate volunteering – were handed over to the winners in the Hall of Earth within the Poznań International Fair. Kompania Piwowarska received a distinction for its corporate volunteering in 2016, and this year it won the main prize in the same category.
– It’s a great award for all the amazing volunteers from Kompania Piwowarska, who worked as a team to execute various aid projects, with passion and openness. One of the greatest projects was the Noble Box, which for the second year in a row allowed us to break our own record and engaged nearly 1,400 employees – says Katarzyna Radecka, Sustainable Development Manager at Kompania Piwowarska. – It makes us really happy and motivates to complete further tasks.
On December 8, the Łochów Palace and Manor hosted the 3rd Responsible Business Awards gala. KP was nominated in two categories – Employee Engagement Leader and CSR Strategy of the Year, and became the winner of the latter.
– Kompania Piwowarska has been consistently executing its long-term CSR strategy, which allows the company to run a sustainable business, motivates its employees and inspires other companies. I hope all companies will soon develop their own strategies, as it really pays off! – said Joanna Kwiatkowska, Communications Specialist who represented Kompania Piwowarska at the event.
The goal of the Responsible Business Awards project it to emphasize the significance of engagement of Polish companies in charity work as well as to promote and implement responsible business concepts. It was initiated in 2015 by Executive Club – a networking organization associating top management representatives from the most prominent Polish and international companies.
The chapter of the competition selected winners in seven categories – including Sustainable Development Leader, Business Ethics Leader, Responsible Company of the Year, Culture and Art Patron, Sports Patron. This year, the prize giving ceremony was preceded by two discussion panels: “CSR Yesterday and Today – A Socially Engaged Company” and “Business Ethics – Leadership based on Values”.
2017 Poznań-based Volunteer of the Year and 2017 Responsible Business Award are two more distinctions awarded to Kompania Piwowarska in the field of corporate social responsibility. KP’s collection already included the Green Frog Award for its CSR report, Golden Leaf by Polityka and 5th place in the diamond category of the Responsible Companies Ranking.
