Żubr debuts on list of 50 most valuable beer brands in the world
Żubr is the first Polish beer in the ranking of the world's most valuable beer brands. Owned by Kompania Piwowarska, the Żubr brand ranked 48th in the prestigious ranking conducted by Brand Finance.
This is a historic moment for Polish brewing, as it is the first time Polish beer has been recognized in a prestigious ranking of the world's most valuable brands. Owned by Kompania Piwowarska, the Żubr brand debuts in the ranking conducted by the Brand Finance consulting firm on the 48th position.
– We are extremely pleased that Żubr has been included in such a prestigious ranking, among the world's most valuable brands. With this, it proves that it cannot only be number 1 in Poland and a leading brand in Kompania Piwowarska, but also an important player on the global market – commented Jacek Grabarczyk, Senior Brand Manager of Żubr.
Żubr is the most popular beer among consumers in Poland, with a volume share of nearly 15% in 2023. Last year, one in seven beers sold in our country was Żubr. In 2019, the brand established the Żubr Fund, whose mission is to work for the protection of endangered species in the most valuable natural areas of the country and to educate consumers about their shared responsibility for the future of Polish nature. Together with partners, actions are carried out to preserve biodiversity, and Żubr supports both long-term nature initiatives and those that require quick, ad hoc action. Each year Kompania Piwowarska donates one million zlotys for this purpose.
Kompania Piwowarska is owned by Asahi Europe and International, which is part of Asahi Group Holdings. The Asahi beer brand retained its 8th place in the Brand Finance Beers 50 list. The group also owns the Italian brand Peroni, which rose from 49th to 43rd in this year's list.
