You will recognize Podlaskie by Żubrs

20.03.2019

Every step of the way, Żubr emphasizes how proud it is of its roots. This time around, it decided to personally welcome every person that crosses the border if its native region of Podlasie. Thanks to the Żubr brand’s initiative, massive constructions with the image of the King of the Forrest were set up by the four most popular roads leading to the capital of the voivodeship. They invite visitors to enter the region and remind them about the engagement of the brand in protection of bison form the Białowieża Forrest.

Are you planning a trip to Podlasie? Prepare for a close encounter with Żubr. As the host of the region famous for its hospitality, the King of the Forrest comes to meet and greet all guests crossing the edge of its bastion. The bison waiting for travellers are eight metres high and located by the busiest expressways leading to the city of Białystok. People visiting the region of Podlasie can meet them near the following towns: Grabówka, Białobrzegi near Augustów, Siematycze and Rydzewo.

These unusual welcoming parties are a result of an initiative of the Żubr beer brand, which has been closely connected to the region since its very beginning – the first bottles with the image of the King of the Forrest on their label were produced at the local Dojlidy Brewery. Even though it was already years ago, and since then Żubr has evolved from a brand known only to regional beer-lovers into Poles’ favourite beer, it never forgot where it came from. The source of Żubr emerges in Podlasie and the brand does its best to remind about that regularly, by taking care of local nature and providing financial support for the Białowieża National Park, among other things. After signing a sponsorship agreement, the brand will cooperate with the park over the next few years, and further details on that cooperation will be revealed at a press conference in June this year.
