Beer is a beverage that has been consumed for thousands of years by countless people all over the world. The rich history of this golden drink is also associated with numerous rituals and customs associated with its proper serving. This peculiar beer savoir-vivre and knowledge about serving is especially useful for waiters and bartenders, who serve hundreds of mugs of delicious beer to thirsty people every day.
For years, Kompania Piwowarska has taken efforts to change beer pouring and serving into true art. That is why on the 20th of May we launched the 3rd edition of Książęce Beer Academy, and a day later the Czech Serving Academy 2019. During special workshops we will select the best bartenders and waiters in Poland, for whom master titles and attractive cash prizes await in the grand finals of both academies. We will start looking for true bartending talents in Wrocław.
Książęce Beer Academy is a unique project created with bartenders and waiters in mind, as they are those who are key in recommending Książęce beer. We believe that a well-trained crew translates into the success of a beer establishment! That is why already for the third time we will travel across Poland with Academy experts – Maciej Chołdrych and Kuba Wolski. We are looking forward to the best pairing of Książęce beer with delicious food, a huge dose of beer education, and emotions in the fight for a place in Książęce Beer Academy Finals 2019! Until November we will visit 12 largest Polish cities.
After 8 editions of Pilsner Urquell Bartender Academy, the true classic – Pilsner straight from the Pilsen brewery, is joined by Czechs’ favorite beer and the best-selling Czech lager in the world – Velkopopovický Kozel.
Thus, the Academy renames itself to Czech Serving Academy. In this edition we will place great emphasis on Czech serving and technical issues useful when tending the bar. We will also surprise everyone with new competitions. What will not change, however, is the love for the best Czech beers and the two hosts – Sławek Fridel and Marcin Ostrowski! Until November we will visit 11 largest Polish cities.
