All materials are intended for adults over the age of 18 only and should not be passed on or made available to persons under the age of 18.

After a fierce fight, the podium was completed by the following teams: No Name Tychy (1st place), LECH BW (2nd place) and Dystrykt Rzeszów (3rd place). Their sporting efforts provided financial support for: Rehabilitation and Education Centre PSOUU in Tychy, Palium Hospice in Poznan and Football Association for the Disabled “Amp Futbol”.
The 25 participating teams were composed of representatives of all departments of Kompania Piwowarska, including the employees of the breweries, distribution centre and warehouses, as well as sales reps and office workers. The Tyskie Cup was dominated by the residents of Poznan, followed by strong teams from Tychy, Bialystok and Warsaw.
– The Tyskie Cup is our Helping Champions League! Besides the final result, what counts is great fun and, above all, the possibility of helping others. We are proud of our employees, who are participating in this unique tournament for the eight time, proving that helping others might be as addictive as sports competitions – says Małgorzata Walędzińska-Półtorak, Sustainable Development Project Manager at Kompania Piwowarska.
The idea of the Tyskie Cup was born in 2011 in the head of Darek Chudziak, employee of Lech Browary Wielkopolski, who has been the promoter of the tournament ever since. The first charity games were held in Poznan, then in Chorzow and last year in Warsaw at the PGE National Stadium with a record-breaking number of 36 teams. The best player of the whole tournament still is Bartosz Miklaszewski from Dystrykt Rzeszów, the only participant to become the top player twice (2015, 2017) as well as the top scorer (2016). Out of the teams, the members of RED TYCHY remain undefeated with the total of 5 medals (2 gold and 3 brown).
– We play and help – that’s the motto of our games, because every single team participating in the Tyskie Cup plays for a charity organization of their choice. I am glad that our employees are always looking forward to another game. Each year, what’s mostly embedded in my memory is their joy, successes, emotions and discussions – says Darek Chudziak, originator and organizer of the Tyskie Cup.
Besides football games, the participants can count on additional attractions in the “Check Your BAL” zone, dedicated to promoting responsible alcohol consumption in a non-standard way, through activating games and tasks. This year marked the fourth time the mobile “Check Your BAL” zone visited selected mass outdoor events across Poland, educating and encouraging to enjoy alcohol in a sensible way.
The Tyskie Cup is not the only charity campaign engaging the employees of Kompania Piwowarska. Last year, 1,774 of them dedicated 4,449 hours of work to helping others within the frame of 18 different volunteering projects. One of them was “Szlachetna Paczka” (The Noble Box) that saw 1,287 KP volunteers supported by their families and friends preparing 1,105 Christmas gift boxes for families in need.
