Let’s celebrate Żubr’s next birthday!

Concerts, dancing, sports competitions and beer zone – these and many other attractions await the people of Podlasie already on the 25th of June. Żubr’s birthday party in front of the Dramatic Theater in Białystok! The hosts will be Rafał Rutkowski and Dariusz Szada-Borzyszkowski, while musical setting will be provided by Myslovitz, Pablopavo i Ludziki, Tęgie Chłopy, and others.

The grand celebrations of the 250th milestone anniversary of founding Dojlidy Brewery, attended by scores of Żubr lovers, people from Podlasie and other regions, proved their attachment to tradition and readiness to hold joint celebrations with the King of the Forest. Żubr decided to turn its birthday into a local custom and again invites everybody to its birthday celebrations in Białystok.

In keeping with tradition, the event will be crowned by the broaching of a keg of freshly brewed Żubr, performed jointly by Jacek Winiarski, Dojlidy Brewery Director, and Tadeusz Truskolaski, the Mayor of Białystok. The people of Podlasie will enjoy the opportunity to sit at the longest birthday table in their region and raise toast to Żubr. However, this is not the only reason to turn up at the King of the Forest’s birthday party. In a special Żubr Brewing Zone guests will find out not only the secrets of Dojlidy Brewery, but thanks to interactive workshops they will also acquire a large amount of knowledge about the serving and tasting of our hoppy beverage. Żubr’s birthday cannot be celebrated without the serving of local products and treats – this will be taken care about by exhibitors from Podlasie.

The King of the Forest thought also about those who love competitions. Together with Lowlanders’ football team it prepared special fitness competitions in which guest will be able to check if they are “as strong as a bison”, by taking part in keg lifting contests or a tug of war.

Those who love crafts, on the other hand, will enjoy Podlasie crafts’ zone in which everybody will be able to have a go at weaving or manual bag decoration.

Żubr also remembers about singing and dancing. Birthday performances will be given by Myslovitz, Pablopavo i Ludziki, and Tęgie Chłopy, while dancing atmosphere will be ensured by DJ Wika.

Honorary patronage over Żubr’s birthday was assumed by the Mayor of Białystok.
