Książęce IPA – novelty in the Książęce beer collection

This year, Książęce kicks off the season of brewing premiers exceptionally early with an impressive launch. Any moment now, a new variant of the collection will hit the stores. Książęce IPA is the first beer of that type brewed by Tyskie Browary Książęce.

Long-awaited Książęce IPA offers a wide range of experiences for both our noses and palates. It’s a distinctive, strongly hopped beer, in which the intense bitterness was softened and “tamed” with fresh, clearly palpable notes of citrus and tropical fruit. All that thanks to six different types of aromatic hops: Citra, Mosaic, Cascade, Centennial, Azacca and Pekko. The combination of American hops, pale Pilsen and Pale Ale barley malt resulted in a textbook IPA beer. Its aromas are very refreshing and do not overwhelm our taste buds, therefore, it’s hard to say no to another mug.

An inspiring palette of aromas

– IPA from the Książęce collection has everything the fans of that type of beer might expect: intensely hoppy taste, delicate maltiness and refreshing citrus aroma – says Ewelina Masiarz, responsible for Kompania Piwowarska’s Książęce brand. – It shows a high level of compatibility with the style but at the same time successfully avoids extremes, and thus the taste remains satisfying even for the amateurs. We recommend it to both those who have just begun their affair with specialities and those who look for an occasional alternative for their standard full light lager.

Książęce IPS will ­­become a permanent part of the Książęce speciality collection encompassing five variants. It’s the first IPA beer brewed by Kompania Piwowarska and another one – after Golden Ale – produced with the use of bottom fermentation. The difference between Książęce IPA and Golden Ale is the doubled amount of bitterness, slightly different aromas and higher number of types of hops. It’s worth waiting a while after taking it out of the fridge, because then it reveals its rich palette of aromas. Książęce IPA should be served at the temperature of 12-14°C in a simple tapered glass. It will taste best when accompanied by spicy meats, roasted poultry and Mexican cuisine. IPA will be available at stores in a 0.5 l bottle and as draught beer in gastronomy outlets.

The new Książęce variant will be launched along with a TV campaign planned for April and May, online activity, educational materials and POSM.
