Jubilee edition of the Check Your BAL programme
09.05.2019
All materials are intended for adults over the age of 18 only and should not be passed on or made available to persons under the age of 18.

It is the fifth jubilee edition of the programme. Since 2015, Kompania Piwowarska’s mobile zone Check Your BAL has visited 42 mass events, allowing 235,000 people to check their sobriety with the use of a professional breathalyser and find out whether they could drive back home safely. Additionally, over 70,000 animations conducted with the use of special alco-goggles helped the participants realize how much our perception changes under the influence of alcohol.
– It is our fifth year in a row visiting summer festivals with the Check Your BAL zone, which proves how serious we are about our long-term commitment to promote responsible consumption of alcohol – says Małgorzata Walędzińska-Półtorak, Sustainable Development Programme Manager at Kompania Piwowarska. – Summer holidays are the perfect time to relax and have fun, however they should not mean a break from thinking. We have to remember that drunk driving is not an option, no matter what the situation or the behaviour of others is – she adds.
This year, our Check Your BAL zones will appear at as many as 20 summer festivals.
Season 2019 began for the Check Your BAL zone on May 9 at the Student Festival of the Rzeszow University of Technology. The efforts put into promotion of moderate and responsible consumption of alcohol are supported by the latest version of our free Check Your BAl app. It is available at abcalkoholu.pl for the two most popular operating systems and allows users to estimate their blood alcohol level after consumption and thus maintain sobriety. The recently refreshed abcalkoholu.pl website provides a compendium of knowledge on alcohol and its influence on human body and behaviour.
