Check Your BAL Zone at events across Poland for the third time

Kompania Piwowarska’s Check Your BAL mobile zone once again embarks on a journey across the country. Within the next three months, it will stop at nine major outdoor events. The goal? To educate thousands of fun lovers on responsible consumption of alcohol.

It’s KP’s third educational tour around Poland. During summer 2015 and 2016 it was present at 19 mass events visited by nearly 275,000 people in total. Over 75,000 people took a professional breathalyser test to determine whether they could drive a car and, additionally, more than 16,000 alco-goggles animations were carried out. Obviously, interest in those kind of activities at outdoor events keeps growing – the number of visitors in our zone during the second edition of the project increased by 70% compared to the previous year.

– We hope to maintain this positive trend. And if we manage to do that, our message will soon reach half a million people! – says Małgorzata Walędzińska-Półtorak, Sustainable Development Project Manager at Kompania Piwowarska. – The key to our successful activity is the fact that we do not bore with theoretical lectures on responsible alcohol consumption. Instead of that we propose intriguing games, engaging challenges and numerous titbits. Knowledge served in that way, assimilated through experiences, will not be forgotten anytime soon.

This year, the Check Your BAL zone will kick off in Olsztyn at the Kortowiada student event. From there it will travel through Silesia (International Beerophila Market in Tychy) to the Małopolska region (Life Festival in Oświęcim), followed by visits at music festivals across the country (Suwałki Blues Festival, Woodstock Festival, Olsztyn Green Festival, Disco Dance Festival) and one airshow (AirShow, Radom). The last stop, and the same time a symbolic grand finale of the beer season, will be the Silesian Beerfest – a great celebration of Tyskie in the city of Chorzów.

During all of these events, people visiting our Check Your BAL zone will be able to test their breath alcohol concentration with the use of a professional breathalyser, learn many interesting facts about how alcohol influences our bodies and experience it at first hand thanks to our alco-goggles animations and driving simulators.

Kompania Piwowarska launched its Check Your BAL mobile zone in 2015. The goal of the project is to promote responsible consumption of alcohol, which constitutes one of the priorities of the company’s sustainable development strategy “Bet on Beer”.
